So-Sew

Wednesdays, 12.00-3.00pm (term time)
As part of our Mother’s Union outreach this creative group is for all who enjoy sewing with a sewing machine. We began last autumn, and meeting once (sometimes twice!) a month on Wednesdays from 12 noon to 3pm, we make a range of items. So far, the sewists have made boxy bags, general purpose bags, stuffed toy animals, roll-neck jumpers and dresses! Some are just starting out making blouses for the summer.
All are welcome at the group. To do the projects you’ll need a sewing machine and a basic sewing kit. Tuition is given at each session to help us build up our sewing skills, and the group are a great encouragement and blessing to each other, as confidence and friendships build up and projects come into being. If you already have a sewing project on the go, either hand sewing or machine, please be encouraged to come along and bring your sewing project with you and simply enjoy time crafting with others who love to sew 😁.
There is no charge for coming along to the group and any donations given in lieu of a charge are given to the Mothers’ Union ‘Away From It All’ appeal. Please get in touch if you’re interested in coming along or would like to know more – we’d love to see you … And what you make!
